Wine Photographer, Not me!!! but it will be me soon
Two semesters ago, I had to shoot glass objects with 4×5 chrome and it was extremely hard due to harsh lights on the objects. I feel more relieve because I will shoot glass objects again but it’s about wine/liquor. So which means I’ll learn more techniques how to get it right at this time. I did the research and I found Riehan Bakkes also shoots wines for commercial photography. I love some of the pictures that he took on the wine lands and it made me want to go there just to feel the grapes. Some product shots he did really good with the wines and the lights on the objects were subtle and soft. So, check him out

Wine Sketches
So next week, I’ll have to shoot wine bottle and I have to do four different sketches for teacher to approve the sketch before I can shoot the actual one. These sketches took me forever. I don’t know why. Maybe I don’t drink and I have to call a friend to ask what glass would go with what type of wine
The pictures are in the slideshow. The ones in pencil were the ones I wanted to set up. Each sketch also has reference photos to support my idea.
*Sketch 1:
- Mogen David Concord’s wine, fresh grapes, soft box, black cardboards, reflectors, DP light
* Sketch 2:
- Inniskillin’s wine, tall glass, black cardboards, soft box, strope, spot light
* Sketch 3:
- Crown Royal’s wine, shot glass, stroke, black cardboard
* Sketch 4:
- Douglass Hill’s wine, glass, stroke with soft box, black/white/cardboards, red Gel

My Friend’s Graduation
I’m still proud of her. She’s graduated with HONOR and it’s her second degree as Bachelor. She told me few days ago that she still wants to go back to school this year.

Squids
One of the most impression at the Flux was the squids. Those were like lantern lights but since it was a windy day and the tentacles were flying like the squids were moving in the water.
Flux was one night public art celebration in the streets and empty spaces in Downtown Atlanta. It had 34 projects from 226 artists. The works include multimedia installations, projections, dance, theatre, music, sound and light installations, parades, puppetry, and iron pour. Since it was dark and without using the flash, I used natural light sources as much as I could and only the squids came out the most pretty photographs that I took on that night.
The Loose Shoes Band
Thanks to the Loose Shoes Band at the rehearsal and The Annual Party. I can’t believe my Dental Hygiene teacher’s Pam Cushenan is totally different when she plays music. I’m glad that because of Multimedia II project, I had another chance to see her again.
Chess
I tried to learn this game before but it’s always hard for me to remember all the rules. I even bought the book to read and never opened it because I’m always busy with school, work, and now photography ;(
I took the picture when I was outside shooting and when I looked at it, I just wished I know how to play.
I decided to leave the picture in two different colors. The beauty of it is through an individual’s eyes
