Portraiture
I feel like being a photographer, standing behind the camera, looking at the viewfinder, smiling about what I see and clicking the shutter button is much easier than being a model for some photographers. I didn’t feel the pain of being a model until i was in portraiture’s class from last quarter. The Lowell DP light was shining on my face and I had to sit there for many hours and the heat of the light nearly set me on fire, but my photography classmates always asked me to smile. I tried to smile even though sometimes I was so tired but they still asked to smile and show some teeth. Therefore, to smile that they could see the teeth, I had to smile with my twenty teeth showing and that’s how they smiled behind the camera and clicked. However, thanks goodness that quarter is over; and I’m looking forward for advance portraiture in this semester. And, the first assignment is pet portraiture. So, i wonder if my pet can be still under different strobe lights while the lights would strike everywhere and that would scare her enough. After my experience from modeling last quarter , I know that my pet would feel the same “modeling pains” that I had to endure.
